How to participate?

Here, you will find more information if you would like to participate in improving the conditions to supply rural regions in African countries with decentralised renewable energy solutions.

Webinar Series

Under the webinar series´ title “Paving the way for Clean Energy Transition with Decentralised Renewable Energy (PWCET)” Green People’s Energy (GBE) in cooperation with the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) are organizing ten topic-specific events, with the objective to promote public discourse on the subject of “clean energy transition” with decentralised renewable energy (DRE) in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Partnerships

Partnerships between actors from Africa and Germany in the field of decentralised renewable energies are valuable to Green People’s Energy. In order to implement a partnership, partners set common goals and activities for energy projects that are clearly defined and measurable. In the spirit of sustainability, partners aim for impacts and results that can continue after the end of the funding period. Both new as well as existing partnerships can be empowered by Green People’s Energy.

Alumni Network

The Alumni Network supports African citizens with study experience of green energy in Germany. Its aim is to connect African graduates from German education and training programmes and support market and business development in green energy.

The Small Projects Fund

The Small Projects Fund (SPF) provides financial support to non-profit organizations in sub-Saharan Africa for projects with the aim of improving the renewable energy supply in rural areas. The objective of the SPF is to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The projects therefore need to envision a sustainable solution for social, economic and/or ecological challenges with a focus on green energy technologies such as solar, wind, micro hydro or biomass.
