The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, through the project “Grüne Bürgerenergie – Green People’s Energy (GBE)“, promotes the dissemination of productive solar energy technologies in off-grid rural areas of Côte d’Ivoire. GIZ will launch a results-based financing programme that provides financial incentives for the successful sale and installation of productive solar systems. In this framework, companies marketing solar refrigerators/freezers and solar water pumps for irrigation are eligible for incentives.
The tender is open to all companies active in the solar energy sector that have experience with technologies for productive use. In total, GBE will implement three performance-based financing programs divided into LOTs.
- Lot 1: Solar Water Pumps 1
- Lot 2: Solar Water Pumps 2
- Lot 3: Solar refrigeration technology
Each company can bid on these 3 tenders to increase its chances but can only win one.
